0108 Assist-Travel/Transport

Transport supports include supports that enable participants to build capacity to independently travel, including through personal transport-related aids and equipment, or training to use public transport. A member of our team will take you to your appointment or elsewhere in the community and then safely bring you back to home. We regularly provide safe, comfortable transportation, such as weekly shopping trips or regular medical appointments. We schedule in advance, so you don’t have to worry about missing the bus or getting late.

The Star Care Group’s Assistance with Travel & Transport service includes and is not limited to:

  • Help you to attend Education facility or a school.
  • Help you to get to and from Work.
  • Help you to attend your doctor or other medical appointments.
  • Shop at your local mall.
  • Around your neighbourhood.
  • Access to community for any leisure activities.


Under NDIS there are generally three levels of funding support for transport. The levels are used to provide a transport budget for participants. In exceptional circumstances, participants may receive higher funding if the participant has either general or funded supports in their plan that enable their participation in employment.
